Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

On Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 took place, in Saint-jean-de-Maurienne, the arrival of the 9th stage of the Tour de France 2010. A day strong in feelings which saw the victory of the French Sandy Casar!

Start of a stage during the Tour 2006, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne was proud to be able to host, in 2010, a stage finish, stage which was already announced as THE big alpine stage of this new editionof the Tour de France.

Here below, stage n°9 profile : Morzine/Avoriaz - Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

This stage, of a distance of 204km, crossed 4 passes : the  Colombière at 1618m, the Aravis at 1498m, the Saisies at 1633m and finally, the Madeleine at 2000m, which allowed the runners to join the valley of Maurienne.
