Pain de St-Jean

Make vibrate your senses with our cheeses AOC (Beaufort, Abondance, Reblochon), our certified products (Tomme cheese , salt meats, apples and pears), our wines (22 vineyards and 20 vines), our honey, our Mont Corbier and our Saint Jean's famous bread.
All these products come into the composition of delicious traditional recipes: the Savoyard fondue, the tartiflette, the Beaufort soufflé, the « matafan » in apples.

Discover these products on the traditional market every Saturday morning.

Ingredients :

• 1 glass of white wine of Savoy per person
• 200g of cheese per person, half Emmenthal cheese , half Beaufort
• 1 clove of garlic
• 1 coffee spoon of starch
• 1 glass with liquuor of kirsch
• pepper / nutmeg.

La Fondue Savoyarde

Cut the cheese in small strips. Dilute the starch with the kirsch. Cut the bread in small cubes. Rub with a peeled clove of garlic a pan or a hen. Put the wine to be warmed: as soon as it begins to foam, throw the cheese cut in small strips without stopping turning with a wooden spoon.

When the cheese is melted, add the starch diluted with the kirsch, without stopping turning slowly.

As soon as the preparation rises in the pan, it is important to serve it by arranging it on a stove. Dip the small cubes of bread into the Fondue.

It is better to serve it with the same white wine as for the recipe.
